Peculiarities of Seasonal Work:
➢Shifts are the rule, also at weekends
➢40-48 working hours / week
➢Fitness! You’ll run around a lot during shift
➢Stress! Especially on sunny weekends, when many day tourists arrive
➢Tip is quite common in Germany, through good service you can increase your salarysubstantially

Money Matters…
➢Minimum wage: 12,00 € gross per hour

➢Taxes and Social Insurances are deducted from gross salary (around 35%) – as student with a health insurance covering also the time you are working in Germany, you will have only few deductions.

➢Companies offer accommodation, most of them for reasonable payment

➢Many companies offer food during the shifts, sometimes for payment, sometimes for free

➢Some employers refund the travel expenses or a part of it at the end of the contract
